Objectives

“Voices Beyond Borders” aimed at addressing the complexities of identity, integration, and social inclusion experienced by young people from different cultural backgrounds, especially second-generation migrants, using music as a tool for intercultural dialogue, emotional expression, and community building. The project created a safe and inclusive space where young people from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Guadeloupe could meet, collaborate, and express themselves through music and non-formal education. Using music as a supporting vehicle, participants explored themes such as identity, belonging, discrimination, stereotypes, and cultural diversity. Another important objective was the exchange of educational methods between the four partner organisations (Association Atmosphère, WeSound, Kunstant, and Teatro dos Barris) in order to strengthen their competences in using music and creativity as tools for inclusion and youth work. The project also aimed at creating long-term connections between local communities and young people from different cultural origins through intercultural music activities and dissemination initiatives. Finally, the project aimed at promoting Erasmus+ and encouraging wider participation in youth mobility and non-formal education opportunities through dissemination videos, artistic materials, local events, and social media communication.
