In implementing this project, our main aim is to create a space where young people from France, Guadeloupe, Denmark and the Netherlands can overcome socio-economic, geographical and cultural barriers through the unifying power of sport and nature. Our objectives are deeply rooted in inclusiveness, personal development and sport activities. One of our key objectives is to foster social inclusion by bringing together young people from diverse backgrounds, including those facing geographical isolation, economic insecurity, social exclusion and cultural differences. Through shared sporting activities and collaborative workshops, participants will be able to exchange intercultural experiences, fostering empathy, respect and mutual understanding. This will help to break down stereotypes and establish meaningful links, particularly for marginalised or under-represented young people. We focus on empowering young participants by helping them develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork and problem-solving. Using sport as a non-formal learning tool, we will create an environment where participants can experiment, reflect and grow. Youth leaders and facilitators will guide young people through workshops that encourage self-reflection and goal-setting, giving them the tools to apply these skills in their communities and future careers. Youthpass will be used to validate and recognise these acquired skills. We want to encourage a healthy lifestyle by integrating regular physical activity, mental health awareness and nature-based practices into the project. Sports such as cricket, yoga, water walking and mindfulness exercises will be introduced to enable participants to enjoy the physical and psychological benefits of outdoor activities. At a time when young people are increasingly addicted to screens, this project offers an opportunity to disconnect digitally and reconnect with nature. Our project aims to inspire young people to become active citizens, involved in their communities and aware of their social responsibilities. By involving them in discussions about inclusion, sustainability and social justice, we will stimulate their civic awareness and encourage them to take on leadership roles in their local communities. The project will also facilitate the exploration of how sport can be used as a tool for social change, empowering young people to become role models and agents of change. Sport will serve as a bridge for intercultural dialogue, allowing participants to discover new games, learn about different sporting traditions and share their own experiences. By engaging in these exchanges, participants will broaden their perspectives and develop a greater appreciation for cultural diversity in Europe and beyond. These cultural exchanges will be enhanced by reflection sessions such as world cafés, debates and creative activities such as a carnival costume-making workshop, illustrating the intersection between sport, culture and the environment. We believe this project has the potential to create lasting relationships between participants and partner organisations. Through group discussions, brainstorming sessions and follow-up activities such as video campaigns and dissemination events, we aim to create a platform where participants can continue to collaborate on new projects, inspire other young people and build on the lessons learned. The involvement of local partners in Guadeloupe will help to widen access to mobility opportunities for young people who often find it difficult to connect with their European peers. If this project is successful, our intention is to build on this by developing wider initiatives, using this experience as a model for future youth work projects. The success of this project will not only serve the immediate participants, but will also inspire partner organisations and local institutions to continue to promote inclusion, diversity and empowerment of young people through sport and intercultural learning. This project aims to provide an inclusive and impactful experience that promotes the empowerment of young people through sport, nature and intercultural exchange, with a focus on inclusion, sport and nature.
