The goal of “Music ReUnity” was to facilitate spaces for communication, cooperation and intercultural dialogue dedicated to young people living in geographically isolated and marginalised areas. The project proposed music and non-formal education as tools to reduce social isolation, strengthen participation and support young people in overcoming cultural, linguistic and geographical barriers. The project involved 25 young people from five countries [ France (La Réunion), Italy, Spain, Lithuania and Poland] in activities focused on intercultural communication and cooperation through music. Participants actively contributed to the organisation of workshops, local dissemination events, artistic activities and online communication spaces where music supported communication between young people speaking different languages and coming from different cultural backgrounds. The project also strengthened the exchange of good practices between the 5 partner organisations regarding the inclusion and active participation of young people living in geographically marginalised areas. The organisations improved their competences in supporting intercultural dialogue, emotional wellbeing and youth participation. Another important objective achieved by the project was the involvement of local youth in dissemination and intercultural activities promoting Erasmus+ opportunities. Local follow-up events were organised in all participating countries and involved young people, students, artists and local communities through workshops, concerts, intercultural meetings and artistic activities inspired by the experience of the mobility. During these activities, participants shared their Erasmus+ experiences and promoted international mobility as an accessible opportunity for young people living in isolated or rural areas. Finally, the project created long-term international connections between participants through online communication groups and continued artistic and intercultural exchanges after the mobility. Participants continued sharing music, dissemination materials, reflections, opportunities and future project ideas, contributing to the creation of a sustainable international youth network based on inclusion, creativity and intercultural cooperation.
