The aim of this project was to raise young people's awareness of environmental issues by creating ‘Stories’ that showcase their imagination and creativity. By creating their own ‘Stories’, young people can exercise their ability to imagine innovative solutions that meet the current needs of ecological transition. Furthermore, involving young people in issues related to our environment and the concerns of our society creates a sense of belonging to society. This feeling strengthens their capacity for civic engagement by showing them that they have an important role to play in democracy and ecological transition. The aim of this project was to take participants on a three-part journey: Imagination: understanding the situation and scripting a post-crisis perspective. Creation: with the support of an artistic expression festival (Les Brouhahas Artistiques), being accompanied by artists on the mediums chosen by the young people to illustrate their script. Dissemination: organising a public presentation of the participants' ‘story’. At the same time, this project had an objective for the MJC youth centres and their audiences. The MJC youth centres that are members of the R2AS network make little use of the Erasmus+ programme. By organising a youth exchange, R2AS gave them the opportunity to discover European programmes and the relevance of developing European exchange projects to extend their local popular education projects.
