Unemployment among young people in Europe's rural areas reached 13.5% in 2022, compared with 7.4% in urban areas. Several factors account for this difference, including lack of employment opportunities, limited access to education and training, and rural depopulation. Rural women are even more affected, with higher unemployment rates due to precarious and poorly-paid jobs. The aim of this project is to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit among young people in rural areas in order to overcome the lack of opportunities and education. It focuses on training young people, promoting knowledge exchange, combating rural depopulation and strengthening transnational mobility. Young people from 5 European countries will take part in this project to develop their entrepreneurial skills, create new employment opportunities and contribute to the development of their rural communities.
