This project aimed to counter the marginalization of minority groups, both in terms of speaking out and occupying social spaces. We focused in particular on two major observations: The feeling of insecurity experienced by many women and LGBTQIA+ individuals when moving through or spending time in public spaces. The lower visibility and participation of these groups compared to cisgender heterosexual men (for example, women speak on average 2.5 times less than men). Based on these observations, we defined the following objectives: To raise awareness among youth workers about gender inequalities in the use and appropriation of spaces (particularly public spaces). To enable youth workers to experience processes of empowerment and the building of mutual trust, so that they are able to offer similar pathways when supporting young people. To collectively adopt a combination of verbal and non-verbal methods in order to bring out and address societal issues (such as gender in public spaces).
