Objectives

The Clim’Act project pursued dual and complementary objectives : - objectives focused on the young people directly involved in the implementation of the project - objectives aimed at encouraging other young people to engage in climate protection Regarding the young people involved (Junior Association WeOcean) : - to enable five underage young people to become fully active participants in a large-scale project at the level of the city of Villeneuve d’Ascq - to involve them in all stages of the project: design, organisation, implementation and evaluation - to support the development of their skills, particularly through the acquisition of project management methodologies (setting objectives, planning, coordination, teamwork) - to strengthen their autonomy, initiative and sense of empowerment - to provide them with a concrete experience of civic engagement Regarding the project participants : - to encourage young people’s engagement in climate action - to raise awareness of ecological transition issues and motivate them to take action - to create spaces for exchange, interaction and collective reflection - to ensure the accessibility of the project to all young people willing to participate, regardless of their background or profile - to offer inclusive activities adapted to diverse audiences The project is in line with European youth priorities, notably contributing to Youth Goal #10 “A Sustainable Green Europe” and Youth Goal #9 “Space and Participation for All” of the EU Youth Dialogue. It also addresses the horizontal priorities of the Erasmus+ programme, particularly youth participation, inclusion and diversity, and environmental sustainability. Through the dialogue between young people and decision-makers, the project contributed to promoting European values such as democracy and civic participation.
