Through the implementation of this project, we aimed to contribute to the protection of the environment, which plays a vital role in preserving humanity’s home planet. We wanted to emphasize that protecting the environment ensures the continuation of biodiversity, supports human life, and maintains the natural systems that purify water and air. Our intention was to highlight the importance of preserving and using natural resources sustainably, as they are essential for human health and survival. We sought to underline the role of forests and vegetation in absorbing excess carbon dioxide and mitigating the effects of climate change. Therefore, one of our main goals was to promote the protection of forests as a crucial step in combating climate change. In addition, we wanted to raise awareness about how nature helps reduce the risks of floods, landslides, and erosion, thereby minimizing natural disasters. Overall, our environmental youth exchange project aimed to raise awareness among young people about environmental sustainability and to foster a sense of responsibility toward nature. We intended to create long-term impacts that would enhance both environmental and societal consciousness among participants and their communities. In line with these aims, the specific objectives of our project were to: Raise awareness about sustainability among young people through project activities; Enhance understanding of natural resources and their importance; Educate the community about responsible consumption of natural resources; Increase knowledge about waste management and the environmental damage caused by improper waste disposal. Through our dissemination and follow-up activities, we also aimed to reach a broader audience and inspire more young people to take action for environmental protection. Ultimately, our goal was to encourage responsible attitudes toward nature and contribute to leaving a more livable and sustainable world for future generations.
