Objectives

The aim of this project was to improve the mental health, confidence, and life skills of young people aged 15-22 through a series of youth-led activities. Our objectives were to provide opportunities for young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, to engage in workshops that focus on mental health, creativity, and personal development. We aimed to empower participants to take ownership of their learning, build resilience, and develop practical skills that will benefit them in their everyday lives. By creating safe spaces for connection, expression, and learning, the project helped young people to develop stronger emotional regulation, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the project aimed to reduce social isolation and increase access to local supports and resources for the young people involved. The young people assessed the affect each category of activity has on their wellbeing with the results of same shared as part of a large conference. The conference would showcase some of the impact this project had on young people, along with other EU projects for young people and also host mental health workshops in collaboration with other youth support organisations. Each activity and event would be youth led and be have a focus on enhancing mental health skills for young people with fewer opporttunities
