Aim:To actively engage queer young people in the decision-making processes that affect their lives and LGBTQ+ communities. Objectives: 1) Influence Policy and Practice: Help shape policies and practices by identifying what are the priorities for LGBTQ+ young people and to advocate for the needs of young people through campaigns, consultations on policy legislation (for example the LGBTI Inclusion strategy) and through lobbying the Government. 2) Build Skills and Leadership: Develop the skills and leadership abilities of young participants, empowering them to become active contributors and leaders in their communities. 3) Youth-led events and campaigns: The YAP wish to implement a number of youth led campaigns and to host a number of events for young people across Ireland. 4) To tackle misinformation and disinformation amongst the public.
