By implementing the project ‘Cultural Routes: Youth Employability Guide’, we want to address various critical problems facing young people, especially in rural areas. The project primarily aims to promote cultural awareness and the preservation of local traditions among young people. In a context where new technologies and global access to information risk eroding cultural traditions, it is crucial to involve young people in local cultural activities. This will help them form an individual identity and a sense of community, counteracting growing individualism and the loss of traditional values. An equally important goal of the project is to combat the high rate of youth unemployment in the participating regions, such as Italy, Spain and Romania. We want to offer young people opportunities in the field of cultural tourism, a sector with great potential but often under-exploited due to a lack of appropriate training and resources. The project will provide young people with the practical skills needed to enter the labour market, especially in specialised sectors such as cultural tourism. International cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between organisations are essential to promote the development of innovative ideas and practical solutions to common problems.
