Objectives

Our project “Green is the New Black” aims to address two main issues: environmental challenges and youth unemployment. In today's world, the environment faces serious threats like climate change, pollution, and loss of resources. At the same time, many young people in Europe, especially in places like North Macedonia and Greece, struggle with unemployment, with rates as high as 50% in some areas. This creates a need to provide young people with skills and opportunities to succeed in the green economy while protecting the planet. We want to achieve a balance between business and sustainability, giving young people the tools to create eco-friendly businesses that solve real-world problems. We aim to raise awareness about eco-entrepreneurship, showing young people how to start businesses that are both profitable and environmentally responsible. The project will inspire participants to think creatively about how businesses can contribute to a greener future. We want participants to leave the project with new ideas for starting green businesses and the skills to make these ideas a reality. The ultimate goal is to empower young people to take action in their communities and become leaders in creating sustainable solutions. We want to see participants becoming ambassadors of eco-entrepreneurship, sharing what they learn and starting projects that contribute to a sustainable future. We also aim to build long-lasting connections between participants from different countries, promoting collaboration on future green projects that continue to make a difference beyond the project’s duration. The objectives of our project: Raise awareness among participants and organizations about eco-entrepreneurship and its key elements exploring the balance between economic activities and environmental sustainability. Introduce key elements of entrepreneurship focused on environmental issues to support innovative problem-solving. Participants will develop at least one eco-business concept by the end of the project. Ensure participants can explain the circular economy and identify ways to apply it in business. Present successful examples and case studies of eco-entrepreneurship to inspire participants and implement a field visit. Improve skills like leadership, teamwork, and planning among participants. Promote inclusion by involving participants from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities. Motivate participants to share lessons learned with peers and empower them to find creative solutions to environmental problems in their communities and countries. Provide opportunities for participants to build new partnerships and work on ideas for at least two future projects that could be carried out with Erasmus+ support
