Our purpose is to support the European youth in having tools to navigate the growing polarisation of opinions which occurs in different contests, such as daily life struggles (with partners, colleagues, families,), social and political conflicts. We want to promote a culture of understanding and coming together to find inclusive solutions through learning and embodying Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Our group will learn to listen beyond the hurtful patterns in our daily language which are designed to create conflicts, and turn them into tools for connection. Our main goal is to shift from fighting violence with violence, to fight violence with non-violence. Youngsters will learn to express their point of view in a nonjudgmental way which fosters collaboration and compassion. They will learn how to soak up criticism in order to transform it into a productive, powerful feedback to stimulate creative change. Participants will learn how to not only face rejection, but also benefit from its hidden value. They’ll learn how to connect with themselves, their authenticity, and so to their inner power which will allow them to connect with their meaning and purpose in life that is getting increasingly more difficult to find. The learning process will be fueled by gratitude, in opposition to some conventional learning styles based on punishment and competition. Each person will discover the joy of learning from the feeling of contribution that arises from gratitude,in contrast to the fear of failure. They will experience the strength of partnering up, instead of competing by themself. The project will be held in a safe space where the group will naturally become an empathetic nurturing community that supports itself.
