At present, waste and its management represent one of the main emergencies we will face in the near future: they are among the world's main causes of raw material consumption and among the most critical environmental problems in urban areas for their collection and disposal. Illegal waste disposal in Apulia accounts for 28.7 per cent of ascertained infringements in the waste cycle out of the national total'. Unfortunately, the regional territory is still affected by the significant phenomenon of indiscriminate waste abandonment. These phenomena of great impact on the territory can only find a firm condemnation from all of us. We need strong awareness to spread the awareness, especially among the young part of our community, that abandoning waste is a very serious gesture and an uncivilized practice. Our guys need a different point of view, new paths to become main actors of a new way of being and acting. This project will trace a route of help for the young people of our community to discover the landscape, to immerse themselves in nature, to better understand what ecology is, sustainability, the reasons why we must separate waste collection, avoid plastic, consume less energy, reduce pollution etc. We want to raise awareness among boys about how our daily choices and attitudes impact the environment, and how small daily changes that don't have huge consequences on our lifestyle can bring about changes. The overall objective of the project is therefore to increase awareness among young people about environmental problems and discuss solutions that can be implemented in our daily lives. In particular, our objectives are: - Improve awareness about the environment - Improve skills in environmental education. - Stimulate reflection on climate change - Promote environmental sustainability at the local level.
