The group that conceived and wrote this project wants to make the voice of the “new” generation heard to let people know that there are young people willing to participate and be heard. Within the group, three young adults have participated in two Erasmus+ international exchange projects with others in the area and reported the value of the experience of meeting other young people from other countries to their peers. As a result, therefore, it was decided to try to write an exchange project as a group to bring the issue of discrimination and political participation of racialized people to the international and European level: confronting the socio-political conditions present in one's own contexts will be useful in finding solutions together as it will lead to the sharing of best practices to find solutions at the national and European level. Specifically, then, the goals of this project will be: - Discuss the sense of belonging to a certain country in relation to political recognition; - Rediscuss the concept of nationality and citizenship; - Confront what behaviors and concepts need to be revised in light of the testimonies of those who experience discrimination on their own skin; - Assess what changes the formation of a cosmopolitan generation is bringing about; - Reflect on the concept of identity and the need for it to be labeled and defined; - Prepare follow-up activities that can bring the voice of the new generation to the Italian and European political level; - Define action strategies to promote the participation of young people with migrant backgrounds.
