Based on the difficulties experienced by our refugee and migrant participants, our project seeks to address these issues through art, thereby enabling post-conflict and post-migration integration, combating hate speech, racism and religious divisions, thereby promoting tolerance and aiming to break down prejudices. Our experience in past youth exchanges, coordinated by us (World of Dreams) and our partners Bright Minds (Bulgaria), Ardor (North Macedonia), Leave a Mark (Georgia) and ASYYD (Turkey) motivated the concept of the project. The concept was born from the experience of initiatives on the themes of music, inclusion and tolerance and the difficulties experienced by our refugee and migrant participants, as well as residents who have welcomed refugees and migrants. Through art, we will tell their stories, thereby addressing these issues: post-conflict and post-migration integration; hate speech, racism and religious divisions; tolerance will be promoted; prejudices will be challenged. In the globalized world, problems of one nation, such as disasters, famines and wars, that affect one nation can impact many other nations, especially adjacent nations, not limited by their borders. In particular, tragedies resulting from wars always become a concern for all people. With numbers that reflect the increasing migratory pressure along the Mediterranean and Balkan routes, Italy and Europe have faced great challenges in welcoming refugees and immigrants in recent years. Our aim is to raise awareness of the growing problem of negative attitudes towards refugees, which is becoming increasingly relevant across Europe and is starting to be a common policy in many nations. Through identification with nations that have recently experienced the same problem, our project seeks to promote empathy and tolerance, thus promoting positive behaviors or the improvement of existing ones. The objectives of our project are as follows: - To create empathy and tolerance. - To promote tolerance towards marginalization and vandalism. - Raise awareness of refugee life stories and shared stories. - Address the refugee problem and solutions through pre-prepared presentations (interviews, documentaries, news) with activities such as discussions, brainstorming and critical thinking at an international level. - Promote empathy and free young people from prejudices through sessions such as "What if I were you?" and drama activities. - Record and share real stories, develop a positive view of war victims. - Explore integration activities for war victims, facilitating the acceptance of refugee society. - Integrate refugees into social life. - Eliminate prejudices and hostility towards people of different religions and races. - Create social messages with activities such as posters, slogans, logos and photos, and make them reach third parties. - Create a public impact by organizing an event where songs that tell the plight of refugees and immigrants are presented. - Promote tolerance through the discovery of common cultures and values. - Analyse and discuss the issues that push people towards marginalisation and seek solutions. - Investigate the hate spread through the media in countries and hear the truth directly from the young citizens of those countries. - Highlight the difference between sowing hate and critical thinking, push young people to think critically. - Create public awareness through photo exhibitions such as "Our choice was not this". - Collect and widely disseminate songs written during difficult periods in the history of the countries involved. Our general objectives are based on the fundamental principles of the Erasmus+ programme: "Equality and Inclusion". Based on this, we want to create a common consensus by addressing the problem with participants from different cultures, share solutions with relevant organisations and NGOs, and inspire.
