Objectives

Trilateral intercultural exchange project that aims to promote a correct lifestyle and active citizenship in young people which would help them avoid falling into or redeeming themselves from social exclusion. The means to promote a correct lifestyle and active citizenship will be popular dance which, in our project, will also allow us to learn aspects of the culture of another country. They will understand that it is important to use their free time in training activities, because it will allow them to acquire a series of knowledge and skills, including transversal ones, which can always be useful for a path of social integration. More specifically we mean: -know, in our countries and at a European level, the situation of youth social exclusion with its causes and consequences based on statistical data; - promote knowledge of popular dance to as many young people as possible to use their free time in a healthy and constructive way, after analyzing its benefits from a psycho-physical and social point of view; - promote active citizenship in young people thanks to the constructive use of their free time; - improve their command of English, the official language of the project; - acquisition of transversal skills that are always useful in a process of social integration thanks to the continuous contact and discussion between them always encouraged by the leaders; - deepen the knowledge of new cultures, as well as awareness and respect, not only thanks to non-formal and informal activities, but also thanks to folk dance, as an expression of the culture of a people; - improve, for the leaders and the moderator, their competence in the field of non-formal education.
