The main aim of the project "Active Peace: Next Generation Leading the Way", held from 9 to 17 May in Cecina, Tuscany, was to promote a culture of peace among young people and empower them to become active agents of non-violence and positive change in their communities. The specific objectives of the project were: To deepen participants' understanding of peace, pacifism, and non-violent conflict resolution through non-formal education methods; To strengthen key competences such as communication, teamwork, and leadership, equipping young people with practical tools for peaceful interaction; To foster intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among youth from different backgrounds, countering stereotypes and promoting inclusion; To encourage youth participation in community life and increase their engagement in volunteering and civic activities; To create a transnational network of young peace advocates committed to promoting shared values and continuing collaboration beyond the project; To produce a concrete outcome—the Illustrated Youth Peace Manifesto—as a tool for awareness-raising and dissemination in schools and local communities; To ensure long-term impact by enabling participants to transfer their knowledge and experience to their peers through follow-up actions and local initiatives. Through these objectives, the project aimed to contribute to building a more inclusive, peaceful, and socially engaged generation of young Europeans.
