As youth workers and organisations, we have been more motivated than ever to persist in our efforts concerning environmental issues. However, our focus has shifted from merely addressing specific environmental concerns to creating future leaders and eco activists. Hence, the main aim of our project is to empower individuals who will emerge as influential figures in environmental activism and leadership roles. Through non-formal education, practical training, and community engagement, we aim to install commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship among the younger generation. In order to be able to reach the main aim of creating future leaders and eco activists we have set the following objectives: 1. To address the issue of climate change and motivate young people to take active participation in battling the issue; 2. To promote the term of environmental activism and to motivate young people to be leaders in their communities; 3. To increase the participants’ and local communities’ knowledge of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals; 4. To increase the knowledge of participants and their communities of the importance of being actively engaged in the completion of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals; 5. To provide participants with the knowledge on how to take active participation in the environmental sector; 6. To promote the Erasmus+ programme, including different opportunities, focusing on the European Solidarity Corps; 7. To promote the YouthPass and develop participants’ competencies by active participation in the project; 8. To develop participants’ practical sense of activism through planting trees and implementing clean ups during and after the youth exchange.
