The Project "PARTICIPATION POWER: Tools for Youth Workers to empower Youth participation against Educational poverty and Exclusion" was conceived with the ambitious goal of transforming Youth Workers into dynamic and effective agents of change in their communities, with a particular focus on promoting youth participation. This strategic initiative aimed to address the current challenges related to youth participation in a comprehensive way, combining practical, theoretical and participatory training. Starting from a practical perspective of working with young people, the objectives were multifold. First of all, it aimed to provide Youth Workers with the tools, skills and knowledge necessary to actively promote youth participation in their local contexts. We did this not only by analyzing the dynamics of youth participation, but also by developing methods and good practices to be successfully applied in various daily work contexts. In addition, there was a focus on understanding the challenges that young people, particularly those at risk of exclusion, face in their path to active participation. As designed, we analysed these challenges, considering their causes and working with Youth Workers to develop effective solutions. This approach ensured that all young people, regardless of their circumstances, had the opportunity and ability to become protagonists in their community. Another key objective of the project was to equip Youth Workers with tools that they can use to make a significant impact in their activities. To this end, practical skills have been developed to be applied in a concrete way to engage and support young people, so as to create a more inclusive and participatory society. The "PARTICIPATION POWER" Project has generated positive results at an individual, social and systemic level. It served to improve the personal skills of Youth Workers, strengthen social relationships between young people and adults and increase the civic participation of young people themselves. We have pursued our ultimate goal, to contribute to the creation of a society in which young people are fully involved and active in shaping their own future, because participating means taking an active part in building a better community for all.
