To involve participants meaningfully in all project activities, we will adopt a participatory and inclusive approach that emphasizes co-creation, active engagement, and empowerment throughout the project's lifecycle. The first step in ensuring active participation is to involve participants right from the planning phase. Prior to the main professional development activities, participants will be invited to share their expectations, needs, and suggestions through pre-activity surveys and online discussions. This initial engagement will allow us to tailor the content and structure of the project to better meet the participants' professional and personal goals, while also making them feel valued as contributors from the outset. During the training and workshops, non-formal education methods will be central to fostering active involvement. These methods are designed to create an interactive and learner-centered environment where participants are not passive recipients of information but are instead co-creators of the learning experience. Activities such as group discussions, role-playing, and problem-solving exercises will be utilized to encourage participants to apply their knowledge in real-time and reflect on the relevance of what they are learning. By facilitating collaborative work, we will ensure that participants are consistently engaged, sharing their perspectives, and learning from each other. In addition to participating in structured sessions, participants will be given opportunities to take on leadership roles during the project. This will include facilitating certain activities, presenting case studies, or leading small group discussions. These opportunities for leadership and peer-to-peer learning will help participants to not only deepen their understanding but also build confidence in their ability to apply their new skills in their professional practice. By actively involving them in the facilitation of the sessions, we foster a sense of ownership over the project and ensure that the learning is personalized and directly relevant to their work with youth. After the main professional development activity, participants will continue to be involved through follow-up projects, which they will design and implement within their own organizations. These projects will serve as practical applications of the skills they have acquired, allowing them to test new approaches and engage young people using AI literacy and critical thinking tools. Each participant will be paired with a mentor who will support them through the implementation process, providing feedback and guidance. This hands-on application ensures that the participants remain actively engaged and that the knowledge gained is transformed into tangible outcomes that benefit their local communities. Participants will play an essential role in the dissemination of the project’s results. They will be encouraged to share their experiences and successes through blogs, social media, and local workshops, thereby helping to amplify the reach of the project and inspire others in the field of youth work. By involving participants at every stage—from planning to implementation to dissemination—we ensure that their engagement is deep, sustained, and impactful, leading to long-term benefits for both the participants and the communities they serve.
