Objectives

With the KA153 Talk &Act on Human Rights (TAHR) project, we aimed to strengthen the role of youth workers as active promoters of human rights, inclusion, and democratic participation, responding to real needs identified by the partner organisations and the local communities in which they operate. The overall objective of the project was to improve the quality of youth work by developing competences, methodologies, and innovative tools for non-formal education on human rights, with particular attention to young people with fewer opportunities and to phenomena of exclusion, discrimination, and inequality. The specific objectives of the project were to: - strengthen youth workers’ competences in the fields of human rights, inclusion, equity, solidarity, and active citizenship, in line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme and the European Youth Work Agenda; - provide practical tools, non-formal methodologies, and concrete resources to design and implement high-quality educational activities on human rights in local contexts; - improve youth workers’ ability to effectively engage young people with fewer opportunities, addressing issues such as gender, migration, online hate, violence, and social and architectural barriers; - develop digital and media competences for communication, awareness-raising, and dissemination of human rights values through innovative tools (social media, podcasts, web radio, multimedia content); - foster the exchange of good practices, intercultural dialogue, and peer learning among organisations and youth workers from different European countries; - create and consolidate a European network of youth workers and organisations committed to the promotion and defence of human rights, as a basis for future cooperation and projects.
