Objectives

The project aims to contribute to the building of common memory and intangible heritage, using podcasting and web radio experiences as innovative tool for working with young people, involve communities and contribute to the development of youth work by merging formal and non-formal education. The project objectives are to share experiences of youth participation and involvement, especially in small communities, and provide youth workers and teachers with skills, knowledge, and resources needed to create, produce, and distribute podcasts effectively, enhancing their ability to engage young people in various activities. By using podcasts, youth workers can create informative, engaging, and easily accessible audio content for young people, thereby improving the effectiveness of their work and having an impact not only in their organizations, but also in their community, developing the idea to contribute at the local memory. The idea is to enhance hard skills in podcasting (recording, editing, managing equipment, publishing, promoting contents), but also a lot of soft skills related to organizing a podcast series or a web radio (time management, creative thinking, relational skills, communication skills, leadership, team work, empathy, management skills, stress management, problem solving, decision making). The project will benefit youth workers, teachers, young people and their organizations during and after the project lifetime. After the project, they can continue to use the skills, knowledge, and resources gained during the project to create and produce podcasts and involve youth communities. They are expected to incorporate podcasts into their daily work, promoting youth participation, empowering young people, and increasing their engagement in various issues, such as civic participation, social inclusion, and intercultural learning. The project also offers future professional development opportunities for youth workers and teachers, allowing them to learn new skills and techniques for working with young people and enhancing their knowledge of using digital media in education and also skills to engage communities and create participative projects. The project will serve as a future platform for sharing good practices and promoting collaboration among youth workers, teachers, and young people. Moreover, by offering opportunities to collaborate with youth workers and organizations, schools will directly build stronger connections with their local community and promote a culture of lifelong learning. The project has the potential to have a positive impact beyond the participants and participating organizations by promoting the use of podcasts as a tool for youth work. To ensure the impact of the project beyond the participants and participating organizations, the project plans to disseminate its results and outputs widely through various channels and collaborate with other relevant organizations and networks across Europe.
