Objectives

The project aims to strengthen youth workers’ skills in using sport as an educational and social inclusion tool, aiming to create contexts in which young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, can fully develop. The main objective is to provide youth workers with the necessary methodologies to design and implement sport activities that promote inclusion, social cohesion and intercultural dialogue within their communities. The training will provide youth workers with practical and methodological tools to address the daily challenges of their work, with a particular focus on how sport can be used to overcome social, cultural and economic barriers. Participants will learn to create inclusive programmes that take into account the different needs of young people, developing activities that encourage the active participation of all, regardless of their background or abilities. Another key objective is to foster cooperation between youth organisations at European level, creating networks of exchange and collaboration that can continue to grow even after the project ends. Through dialogue and sharing of best practices, youth workers will be able to enrich their skills and transfer the knowledge acquired to their local realities, thus improving the quality of youth work in Europe. The project also aims to develop and disseminate new methodologies that can be adopted by other youth organisations. These methodologies will be collected in digital toolkits, which will be shared via platforms such as SALTO Youth, ensuring that the best practices developed during the project can be replicated and adapted in different contexts.
