The Human Tribe project was designed with the aim of promoting inclusion, active participation, and a sense of belonging among young people from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on those with fewer opportunities, including young people with disabilities, migrant backgrounds, or at risk of social isolation. The core idea was to build a “human tribe,” a safe and welcoming space where diversity could be recognized as a value and a resource, fostering intercultural dialogue, empathy, and collaboration. The specific objectives of the project were: - To strengthen participants’ social and relational competences, such as communication, active listening, teamwork, and empathy; - To promote youth participation and empowerment, encouraging young people to express their ideas, needs, and visions; - To foster processes of inclusion and social cohesion, counteracting stereotypes, prejudice, and dynamics of exclusion; - To develop creative and expressive skills through artistic languages (visual arts, music, storytelling, etc.); - To enhance digital competences and the conscious use of technologies as tools for expression and connection; - To raise awareness among the local community and policy-makers on issues related to diversity, inclusion, and active citizenship. The project therefore aimed not only to produce tangible results, but above all to generate a transformative impact on participants, strengthening their sense of identity, belonging, and citizenship.
