The Green Innovators project aims to empower young people to become active citizens and leaders in environmental sustainability, using green innovation as a tool to address global environmental challenges. By implementing this project, we seek to provide youth with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to contribute to the green transition in their communities and beyond. The objectives of the project align with both youth work practices and the broader goals of fostering sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. Objectives: *Develop Environmental Awareness and Responsibility Among Youth. The primary objective of the Green Innovators project is to increase environmental awareness among young people, helping them understand the causes and impacts of climate change, resource depletion, and pollution. Through interactive workshops, such as the Climate Fresk, and hands-on activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability. This knowledge will empower them to take personal responsibility for their environmental impact and encourage others to adopt sustainable practices in their communities. By fostering a sense of environmental stewardship, the project will contribute to creating a generation of youth who are committed to protecting the planet. *Foster Green Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills. By focusing on green entrepreneurship, the project will teach participants how to turn sustainable ideas into practical, implementable projects. This includes learning about business planning, resource management, and innovation in the context of the circular economy and renewable energy. Participants will work in international teams to create green innovation projects, which they will present at the end of the youth exchange. This experience will not only provide them with valuable entrepreneurial skills but will also show them how environmental sustainability can be integrated into business models. *Promote Active Citizenship and Civic Engagement. Through the project, participants will learn how to engage with their local communities and take on leadership roles in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The project will emphasize the importance of youth taking responsibility for the future of their communities and contributing to positive change through civic engagement. Participants will be encouraged to initiate their environmental projects after the exchange, supported by local networks and organizations. This will ensure that the impact of the project extends beyond the youth exchange itself, contributing to lasting change at the local level. *Encourage Intercultural Understanding and Inclusion. By bringing together participants from Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Italy, and Greece, the project will create opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue and learning. Participants will learn about each other’s cultures, traditions, and environmental challenges through activities such as cultural exchange evenings, team-building exercises, and collaborative projects. This intercultural exchange will not only foster mutual respect and understanding but will also highlight the shared responsibility that all nations have in addressing global environmental challenges. The project will also ensure that participants from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, are included, promoting social inclusion and equality. *Enhance Digital and Creative Skills for Sustainability Advocacy. Through activities such as video-making and social media campaigns, participants will learn how to create compelling digital content that promotes sustainability. These skills will enable them to raise awareness about environmental issues in their communities and beyond, using digital platforms to reach wider audiences. The project will encourage participants to use creativity and digital tools to advocate for sustainability and inspire others to take action. *Empower Youth with Leadership and Advocacy Skills. Through activities such as public speaking workshops, debates, and leadership exercises, participants will learn how to effectively communicate their ideas and influence change. They will be encouraged to take leadership roles in the project, such as facilitating workshops, leading group discussions, and coordinating follow-up activities in their home countries. By building leadership skills, the project will help participants become confident advocates for sustainability, capable of inspiring others and driving change in their communities.
