The Movie Makers project was developed in response to the rising youth unemployment rates across EU countries in the post-pandemic period. Our aim was to empower young people by equipping them with creative, digital, and teamwork skills through hands-on video production. This approach aligned closely with the “European Framework for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning,” with a focus on boosting employability and fostering an interest in further training or careers in creative industries. At the same time, the project aimed to instil a sense of active citizenship. By recognising the European Union’s efforts in addressing youth unemployment, we encouraged participants to respond not just with personal ambition, but with civic awareness and responsibility. Our objective was to help young people become conscious content creators who promote European values in media-rich environments. The project aimed to: Develop participants’ employability through digital and creative skill-building. Encourage lifelong learning and professional curiosity in the creative field. Promote active citizenship and European values through media creation. Strengthen participants' understanding of public processes and their role as informed citizens. Foster teamwork, leadership, and digital literacy as tools for community impact.
