The `Empower to lead` Training Course will take place in Luxembourg from 23 to 29 May 2025 and will gather together 30 participants from the following organisations: Luxembourg: L'ecole des valeurs; Romania: Scoala de valori; Lithuania: Association Tvarumo namai; Italy: European Campus; Greece: LevelUP Greece; Serbia: Jedi Movement. The main causes of our problem: our youth workers don’t have enough information about leadership, lacking skills, and don’t know how much of a difference leadership could bring in their work (improve their action, have more active volunteers, motivate their team, etc.). Aim - to equip youth workers with the skills to provide stable and inspiring mentorship, helping young people navigate their paths with clarity and purpose. We organised our objectives to focus on knowledge (to have the base on which we build), on skills (focusing on learning by doing approach) and on attitude. Why? Because skills are just the tip of the iceberg; real change happens when you have a foundation to build on and you also shift your attitude towards the topic. I. During the 11 months of the project, the 30 youth workers will expand their knowledge about minimum 3 aspects of leadership (definition, styles, importance, role). *We expect them to enhance their theoretical knowledge and to practically apply this information in order to improve their work with young people. II. During the 11 months of the project, 30 participants will acquire at least 3 essential leadership skills (including effective communication, team building, evaluation, decision-making). *We expect them to practically apply it in their youth work. III. The 30 youth workers will build confidence in their leadership skills and will have the courage to organise and implement more activities with youth in the community. *We expect an increase in the number of activities - now the organisations are doing on average 4 activities/month - we expect to double that number.
