Objectives

The "Brave Voices, Bold Leaders" project aims to encourage young people, especially from a marginalised background and struggling with their identities to express freely their identities, experiences, and challenges while exchanging with peers from different countries and using video storytelling as a tool for creative expression. While working on these issues, they will engage in a dialogue with socio-cultural professionals on the topic of inclusion of young people in the current socio-cultural spaces. The project’s main objectives are to: 1. Create a space for young people from marginalised backgrounds with a special focus on the LGTBQIA+ community to exchange with peers on the topic of inclusion in their socio-cultural centres or the lack of such spaces for them. 2. Foster the dialogue between these young people and socio-cultural workers so that socio-cultural centres put in place inclusion and diversity policies and strategies that take in to account the needs of the young people; encouraging socio-cultural centres to become "brave spaces" where marginalized voices can freely express themselves. 3. Develop the leadership competencies of the young people so they can take up an ambassador role when it comes to making socio-cultural centres more inclusive whether through proposing ideas to influence cultural programming or ensuring spaces for experimental creation or ensuring support for professional artistic development. 4. Enhancing the participants' digital storytelling skills by using it as a tool for spreading their messages.
