Objectives

Our primary goal in implementing STORIPIC project was to foster cultural appreciation and mutual understanding among the 24 youth participants coming from Latvia, Romania, Portugal, and Turkey. We aimed to create a rich learning environment by engaging them in traditional cultural activities, storytelling, and leveraging AI as digital storytelling tools. The core objectives of our project were: -Encourage Intercultural Exchange: We had several meaningful interactions among youth from diverse backgrounds through traditional dance and folklore, enriching their cultural awareness and understanding. -Provide Valuable Skills: Participants acquired essential skills in digital storytelling, leveraging the power of AI into videography, and photography, which empowered them to document and creatively share their unique experiences and perspectives. -Online Platforms: We focused on creating safe online spaces where participants could express themselves freely, collaborate effectively, and learn from one another. -Communication and Teamwork: Through structured activities and team-building exercises, we strengthened participants' communication, teamwork, leadership skills and built upon friendships which are crucial for personal development. -Empowering Community Advocates: Committed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for cultural preservation and appreciation within their own communities, fostering a sense of responsibility and action. Ultimately, our main objective was to: -promote cultural understanding and appreciation among participants by exploring and celebrating their own heritage alongside other European nations. We successfully established a space for intercultural dialogue and mutual respect, leaving a lasting impact on participants that will continue after the project itself. Furthermore, we collaborated with key stakeholders and used several communication methods to effectively disseminate the project's outcomes, inspiring others to value cultural diversity through our participants' eyes.
