Objectives

Erasmus+ Youth projects were based on a non-formal education approach, and youth work also followed the methodology of non-formal education. As in all fields, innovation was important in non-formal education as well. This project was based on a training course during which participants had the opportunity to explore non-formal education and create new methods aligned with Erasmus+ programme priorities. By participating in this project, youth workers not only explored the fundamentals of non-formal education but also collaborated to create new, innovative methods they could apply in their daily work with young people. The primary goal of the project "Architects of Non-Formal Education" was to empower youth workers by enhancing their skills and competencies in creating innovative non-formal education (NFE) methods. The project sought to provide youth workers with the tools to better engage and support young people in response to the evolving needs and challenges faced by today's youth. This was achieved through a six-day training course, which focused on design thinking, intercultural learning, and innovative educational approaches. The key objectives of the project were: • To enhance youth workers' competences in non-formal education, • To foster adaptability to evolving youth needs, • To promote innovation in non-formal education, • To facilitate collaboration and competence exchange. By addressing these objectives, the project improved the quality of youth work practices, fostered collaboration among international youth workers, and ensured that NFE remained a relevant and powerful tool in youth development.
