Our primary objective was to empower up to 20 young individuals from North Macedonia and Spain to become confident and capable green entrepreneurs who actively contribute to sustainable development in their communities. Through the project, we aimed to strengthen their competencies in key areas such as creative ideation, sustainable business modeling, financial literacy, impact measurement, and digital advocacy - ensuring they could turn their innovative ideas into viable, purpose-driven ventures. Each participant or team received personalized mentorship to refine their projects and gain practical guidance, culminating in a transnational Demo Day that offered exposure, visibility, and connections with potential investors and stakeholders. Beyond individual empowerment, we sought to create lasting value by developing a structured, reusable curriculum and an active network of mentors, experts, and young changemakers. This framework continues to inspire and support future youth-led green ventures, amplifying the long-term impact of the project and contributing directly to the objectives of the European Green Deal.
We applied for this project because many young people in North Macedonia and Spain care deeply about climate change but lack the structured support, knowledge, and resources to turn their ideas into real ventures. Despite their motivation, they often face barriers such as limited access to training in social entrepreneurship, green innovation, circular economy practices, and impact financing. These challenges are even greater for underrepresented groups, including Roma, migrants, and youth from rural areas, who have fewer opportunities for learning and mentorship. Our goal was to bridge this gap by creating an online incubation program that offers five structured learning modules, personalized mentorship, and a cross-border Demo Day. The program equips young innovators with the skills, confidence, and connections they need to transform their ideas into viable green and socially responsible projects. By empowering youth to launch sustainable businesses and community initiatives, the project contributes to local job creation, environmental awareness, and the broader goals of the European Green Deal.
