The “Reimagine” project focuses on excessive consumption and its environmental impact, fostering more sustainable living by empowering 33 young people aged 18-26 from Curacao, Bulgaria, Romania and Belgium. This project will create a creative and dynamic space for the exchange of ideas and proposals on Responsible, Ethical, and Sustainable Consumption, where participants from diverse countries will engage in activities that explore and analyse the global trends of our consumer habits. Young people, by peer to peer learning, will explore more about the complex relationship between human activities and environmental impact, which will empower them to make eco-friendly changes in their daily lives. So, this project will give youth exchange participants an opportunity to take an initiative and dig deep into the topic and share among their peers and community members about responsible consumption, environmental sustainability, and how to adopt and advance sustainable lifestyles in their local communities. Objectives of the project are: Raise awareness of youth from Curacao, Bulgaria, Romania and Belgium via peer to peer learning on the environmental and social impacts of excessive consumption, including consequences of the throwaway culture; Promote sustainable practices through encouraging adoption of eco-friendly habits that reduce carbon footprints and through equipping participants with competencies to promote responsible, ethical, and sustainable consumption; Foster cross-cultural exchange by letting young people with diverse backgrounds share ideas and best practices on consumption and by promoting intercultural learning and collaboration in addressing global challenges related to excessive consumption, and build a network of empowered youth that will serve as a platform for participants to jointly work on follow-up initiatives and share resources, ideas.
