Through the SDG Ambassadeur project, young participants between 15 and 21 years old were informed about the SDGs and their importance by other young people (the Global Youth) who had previously gained experience with the SDGs. The young participants learned about the SDGs, how they could relate these to their own world, and developed their own masterclass which they presented to peers. Additionally, they learned to apply their knowledge and formulate their opinions to engage in conversations with various specialists in this field, thereby contributing to society. This project gave young people the opportunity to change their behavior. The goal was to encourage as many young people as possible to come up with ideas based on the SDGs that they would implement to improve the world. With their acquired knowledge and experiences, they ultimately served as SDG Ambassadors for the new generation of SDG Ambassadors.
