Objectives

The project aims to empower young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds by using basketball as a tool for personal development, social inclusion, and intercultural understanding. Through a series of youth exchanges and non-formal learning activities, we want to promote active participation, teamwork, and leadership among participants. The project will help them develop essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and resilience, which are important for their personal growth and future opportunities. From a youth work perspective, the main objective is to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can build confidence, form positive relationships, and engage with peers from different countries. By involving them in structured activities, workshops, and intercultural exchanges, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect. The project will also promote social inclusion by ensuring that disadvantaged youth, particularly those facing economic, social, or cultural barriers, are fully involved and supported throughout the process. Another key objective is to strengthen the capacity of the partner organizations to deliver inclusive and impactful youth work. By working collaboratively, the organizations will exchange best practices and develop new methods for engaging marginalized youth through sports and non-formal education. This will result in long-term benefits for both the participants and the organizations, ensuring that the skills and knowledge gained during the project are sustained and applied in future initiatives. Ultimately, the project seeks to contribute to the broader goals of Erasmus+, including fostering active citizenship, social inclusion, and solidarity among young people across Europe. Through the power of sports and teamwork, we want to create a lasting impact on the participants' lves, helping them become more engaged and empowered members of their communities.
