Objectives

Human Kind (HK): Stories about Belonging, Participation, and Transformation is created from the need expressed by our partner organizations to develop new methodologies and tools for supporting youth in their communities to address pressing mental health issues, social isolation, and the growing disconnection many youth experience today. Our project responds to these pressing challenges with a transversal approach to environmental issues. We seek to enable youth workers with tools to support young people in reconnecting with their intrinsic value and role in their communities. We aim to foster resilience and emotional well-being, encouraging youth to participate fully by being themselves in addressing societal and environmental challenges. The main project objective is: - Empower Youth Workers: To train youth workers to effectively implement strategies for creating inclusive and collaborative spaces where young people can fully participate, express themselves authentically, and engage meaningfully with their peers and communities. HK promotes mental health and active participation in their territories through the core pillars of HK: deep listening and authentic relating, embodiment, and art practices. The focused objectives are: - Support Vulnerable Youth: We aim to equip youth workers with strategies to support vulnerable and marginalized youth by providing tools to guide individuals in rediscovering their creativity and exploring transformative possibilities. This process fosters self-awareness and empathy, combats radicalization, and promotes dialogue and unity, ultimately allowing young people to feel seen, heard, valued and engaged in their communities. - To rise awareness providing with knowledge and tools on how art serves as a reflective tool for understanding individual and communal roles in society while highlighting the importance of embodiment and presence as vital components in shaping, leading, and addressing the challenges faced by young people through authentic relating and participation. - To ensure the successful execution of innovative activities through the Participatory Event: Stories of Belonging, Participation, and Transformation, which our partners will be encouraged to replicate in their local communities. - To strengthen community ties by continuing growing a Digital Community of Practice (Digital CoP) of youth workers committed to further develop and implement HK tools and methodologies fostering collaboration and peer learning among youth workers. - To extend the project’s reach and impact across countries and communities by launching The Human KIND Podcast by sharing the results, best practices and inspiration from the training and Digital CoP.
