The "First Aid – Don’t Ignore" project is an international youth exchange, with the main theme being first aid and the idealistic and practical service of education in this area. The times we live in are challenging; we find ourselves in a complicated world full of dangers and conflicts. Practical knowledge of first aid principles is essential, yet this knowledge is not widely known. Our joint discussions led us to initiate an international youth exchange project, during which we aim to explore the topic of first aid holistically. This means learning through non-formal education what qualified first aid and medical emergency procedures are. We want to understand concepts such as the "golden hour" and "platinum minutes," the "chain of survival," and learn how to provide first aid in cases of natural disaster victims, refugees, and ethnic minorities.
