The aim of the "Music Without Borders" project was to promote intercultural integration, tolerance, and mutual understanding among young people from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on Roma youth. The organizers sought to create a space where young people from Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary could get to know one another, build relationships, and overcome existing stereotypes through shared artistic activities – such as music workshops and a final concert. The project aimed to develop participants' social, communication, and artistic skills, as well as to foster cultural awareness through exposure to diversity and collaborative creative work. The implementation of these goals also had a local dimension – in the host community, where attitudes of intolerance still persist, the project represented an important step toward social change by demonstrating the value of dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect. Moreover, thanks to the intensive involvement of young people at every stage of the project – from planning, through implementation, to the dissemination of results – participants had a real influence on the process and developed a sense of agency and responsibility.
