Objectives

The aim of the project was to develop the creative skills of participants from Poland and Spain through the preparation of a puppet theatre performance telling the story of Patufet, a little Catalan boy who saved a town from the Wawel Dragon. During the project, participants learned various puppetry techniques and acquired skills related to the construction of puppets, marionettes, and hand puppets, as well as designing the stage set and soundscape. Most importantly, they practiced writing a multilingual script based on fairy tales from two different parts of Europe. The implementation of these activities allowed participants not only to enhance their creative, interpersonal, and language skills, but also to introduce a young audience to puppet theatre and live performance, an art form that is rarely encountered today.
