The YES! 2.0 addresses issues and attitudes of pro-citizenship, pro-environment, pro-entrepreneurship and soft skills that are important to us. We intend to respond to the challenges posed by the low level of young people's involvement in social activities and low awareness of sustainable development practices and unsatisfactory actions in this field, using non-formal education concepts and assumptions. This way of imparting knowledge will also serve to develop soft skills, the characteristics, essence and application of which participants will discover during the project. Drawing young people's attention to the benefits of an active civil society and a high level of entrepreneurship are considered key aspects of our project; the attitudes we intend to promote among young people - if properly communicated - can lead to an exponential increase in the number of young people involved in pro-social activities, as well as a booming economy thanks to young entrepreneurs, starting from the local level. The aims of the project will therefore be to increase the involvement of young people in local activities in the areas of caring for sustainable development, supporting and creating local community and entrepreneurship, promoting pro-social and pro-entrepreneurial attitudes, developing soft skills in young people, as well as exchanging experiences in the aforementioned fields and cultural exchange between diverse young people from Poland, Spain and Portugal. Carrying out the project in a rural area will further make the participants aware of the challenges affecting the inhabitants of these regions, and the planned meeting with local entrepreneurs will deepen the knowledge of rural reality and at the same time involve the inhabitants. Based on our experience in youth work, especially during the last exchange in Armenia, as a result of the contact and conversations with the inhabitants we expect an active attitude of the participants and numerous ideas for improving the situation at the project site as well as in the native villages. We are a relatively young NGO, but we have many years of experience in working with and for young people, coming first from scouting and later from the projects we have already implemented. We know that it is enough to give young people the tools, opportunities and motivation to create something good so that they start doing it themselves - and we have often been positively surprised by the brilliance of the participants in our projects. A properly conducted project, on the other hand, can shape a person's thinking and attitude for many years to come, opening their horizons to hitherto unknown possibilities for personal development, as well as their immediate environment. During our project, we want to show the participants that entrepreneurship, ecology and social action can be combined in harmonious action to improve the reality around us and their own perspectives. During the YES! 2.0 will have the chance to learn about other cultures, the perspectives of peers from other countries, increase their language and intrapreneurial skills. In the course of the activities, we will create a space for the development of skills such as teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution skills, showing initiative, optimal problem solving or seizing opportunities. We will emphasise the relevance of these and other soft skills in today's world and the benefits that come from a high degree of their development in professional, personal and everyday life. Linguistic and cultural diversity will further support the enhancement of young people's competences, due to the multiplicity of viewpoints shaped by each participant's personal life circumstances. The selection of partner organisations provides this diversity and the chance to exchange sometimes completely different perspectives on reality, as well as the possibility for participants to broaden their horizons, who might not have had the chance to come into contact with Spanish, Portuguese or Polish culture and thinking before. Through the integration that takes place from the very beginning during the activities and the planned integration-national evenings, we hope to create friendships and long-lasting contacts between the multinational participants in the exchange.
