The main goal of the project "The Spirit of the Youth Olympic Games: Sport, Culture, Education" was to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among young people from Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Hungary, with particular emphasis on the inclusion of people with health limitations and building attitudes of tolerance and European solidarity. Specific objectives achieved as part of the project: *Promotion of health and physical activity: Increasing participants' awareness of the importance of regular exercise and healthy eating as a counterbalance to a sedentary lifestyle ("in front of a screen") and preventing obesity and mental health problems. *Inclusion and equal opportunities: Activating young people with fewer opportunities (health barriers, coming from rural areas with poor sports infrastructure) and demonstrating that sport is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. *Shaping Olympic attitudes and values: Education about the principles of fair play, discipline, perseverance, and respect. Using the concept of Olympism to build self-esteem and self-confidence in young people. *Intercultural and European Integration: Breaking barriers and stereotypes through joint sporting and educational activities. Building strong bonds between peers from different EU countries and promoting the values of the European Union and the Erasmus+ program. *Non-formal Education: Gaining knowledge about the history and significance of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and developing soft skills such as teamwork, interpersonal communication, and international cooperation. *Combating Exclusion: Combating discrimination by promoting tolerance and understanding of cultural and physical diversity. What did we want to achieve? Through the project, we aimed to inspire young people to step outside their comfort zones and take on sporting and educational challenges. We wanted to create a space where the lack of local infrastructure (e.g., sports fields in their hometowns) is not a barrier, but rather a motivation to seek new paths of development. Our goal was to create lasting role models that participants would take back to their local communities, becoming ambassadors for a healthy lifestyle and openness to others. We believe that the project has contributed to building a better, more integrated international society in the spirit of peace and unity.
