We want to implement the project ‘Eco Hobby Horse: Passions and Challenges of Young People with Disabilities’ because of the significant needs we see in working with young people with disabilities. This project responds to several key objectives: 1. fostering social inclusion: Our aim is to support young people with disabilities to break down social barriers. The project aims to integrate participants from different backgrounds and countries (Poland and the Czech Republic) to promote openness to diversity and build mutual understanding and respect. 2. developing personal and social competences: Through participation in a variety of workshops, group activities and team-building activities, participants will have the opportunity to develop key interpersonal skills such as communication, group cooperation, time management or conflict resolution. The organisation of the Hobby Horse competition aims not only at physical activity, but also at developing coping skills and building self-confidence. The project creates a space for practical learning through fun and joint activities. 3. environmental activity: One of the important objectives of the project is to raise the environmental awareness of the participants. Through upcycling and recycling activities and the organisation of environmental workshops, we want to inspire young people to care more about our planet. The project will combine environmental education with creative activities, such as making stick horses out of recycled materials and neighbourhood clean-up actions. 4 Strengthening independence and self-esteem: Work with young people with disabilities often focuses on building self-confidence and developing independence. Through a variety of activities, young participants will be able to acquire new skills, which will contribute to their sense of agency and autonomy. The process of creating and presenting their own work, such as a brochure, videos or posters, will help them feel more involved and valuable members of the community. 5. promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity: Through hippotherapy classes, the project supports the promotion of healthy lifestyles and physical activity, which is particularly important for people with disabilities. The outdoor activities and contact with horses in hippotherapy will support the mental and physical health of participants, helping them to combat symptoms of stress and isolation. These activities not only support physical development, but also have a positive impact on participants' mental health. From a youth work perspective, this project not only contributes to the individual development of each participant, but also builds their social bonds and sense of belonging to the wider community.
