Objectives

This project responds to three key challenges we see in our youth work: the growing problems of environmental degradation, the increasing difficulties related to young people's mental health and their low levels of civic engagement. In working with young people, we see that young people need support to understand these challenges and to learn how to actively participate in them and affect change in their communities. The project was designed to address these needs while developing their personal, social and civic competences. Youth work perspective: Youth work shows that young people are often motivated to take action, but lack the tools, support and understanding of how they can make a real impact on the world around them. Our aim is to strengthen their sense of empowerment and convince them that their actions matter - whether in terms of protecting the environment, looking after their mental health or getting involved in society. 1. environmental awareness: In our work, we observe that young people are increasingly aware of the problems of environmental degradation, but often do not know how they can contribute to environmental protection in their daily lives. The project aims to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to make sustainable decisions and take action in their communities. Workshops, practical activities and environmental project work will be a key element to inspire young people to make real change. 2 Mental health: We are increasingly seeing young people struggling with mental health issues - stress, anxiety, low self-esteem. In our practice of working with young people, we have noticed that they lack tools to deal with these problems and an open space to discuss the issue. Therefore, the project aims to promote mental health awareness and provide practical tools such as techniques for coping with stress and building emotional support. Creating spaces for open conversations about mental health is intended to help break taboos in this area. 3 Civic participation: The low level of civic engagement among young people is a challenge we see in our daily work. Many young people do not realise that they can have a real impact on decisions made in their communities. The project aims to strengthen civic attitudes by learning about democratic participation, organising community activities and getting involved in local initiatives. We want young people to feel confident in their competences and ready to take initiatives in their environment. Project objectives: To increase environmental awareness and practical environmental skills: Through workshops, field activities and group projects, participants will learn how to take care of the environment in their daily lives, which will enable them to actively promote environmental attitudes in their communities. Mental health promotion and emotional support for young people: The project aims to develop competences for taking care of mental health, such as coping with stress, building a supportive relationship and talking openly about emotional problems. We want participants to feel empowered and ready to support themselves and others. Encouraging active participation in social and political life: Our aim is to increase young people's involvement in civic life. Through workshops on civic participation, the creation of social campaigns and simulations of decision-making processes, participants will gain the tools to become actively involved in democratic processes.
