Objectives

Our exchange responds to the growing need for social integration and the promotion of diversity in our increasingly diverse society. In the face of global challenges related to intolerance, discrimination, and cultural divides, this project aims to create a space where art and photography act as a bridge to foster understanding and acceptance. Through creative artistic activities, the development of soft skills, civic engagement, and the opportunity to co-create workshops, we aim to build an environment where young people can express themselves, develop their abilities, and uphold European values. Working with youth, we recognise the importance of creating safe spaces that promote acceptance and inclusion. This project seeks to combat intolerance towards individuals with different cultural, gender, and social identities. The exchange aims to create an environment where young people, particularly those from minority groups and those with limited opportunities, can actively participate in artistic activities. This will allow them to explore and develop their talents while fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance. Young people often struggle with feelings of isolation and exclusion, especially those facing challenges or disabilities. Our project will provide a space where they can freely showcase their talents and values, which is essential for their personal growth and self-worth. We want participants to feel understood and appreciated by others, helping them build confidence and integrate within the group. This project is unique as it engages deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, as well as young people with fewer opportunities, who particularly need a sense of belonging and acceptance. Through shared artistic activities and non-verbal communication, participants will be able to find a common language and understand each other better. Our goal is to promote diversity and support social integration through art and photography, creating an environment where all participants feel accepted and supported, regardless of their cultural background, gender, or disabilities. Through artistic workshops and photography sessions, the youth will develop skills such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. The project will also help them build self-confidence through active involvement in the creative process. Participants will have the opportunity to co-create workshops, allowing for greater independence, creativity, and active participation in shaping the project. Supporting civic engagement and involvement in local community life is crucial for building an integrated society. The project provides an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and foster understanding among each other, contributing to greater acceptance and collaboration between different social groups, including those with disabilities.
