Objectives

The “Keen on Democracy” seminar was implemented as a space for exchanging experiences, ideas, and working methods in the field of youth civic engagement. The main objective of the project was to create a forum that enabled participants to jointly reflect on the level of young people’s involvement in social and civic life, as well as to explore effective solutions to increase it. During the project, the focus was placed on building dialogue between partners and strengthening international cooperation in this area. Participants of the seminar had the opportunity to share their own experiences, good practices, and challenges they encounter in working with young people. This made it possible to develop new approaches and inspirations for actions that can be implemented in local communities. The project also aimed to develop participants’ competences in youth work, particularly in the context of supporting civic engagement and fostering socially responsible attitudes. An important goal of the seminar was also to raise awareness of the importance of youth participation in democratic processes. Within the activities, emphasis was placed on the role of young people as active citizens who have a real impact on shaping their communities and the future of Europe. The project contributed to strengthening participants’ sense of agency and encouraged them to take civic initiatives. All project partners were actively involved in the implementation of activities, contributing their own experiences and perspectives. The seminar became a space for open discussion, exchange of views, and the initiation of new ideas for projects and actions in the youth field. As a result, participants not only deepened their knowledge but also established valuable connections that may lead to further cooperation. The project fully aligned with the objectives of youth policy at both local and European levels. Increasing the level of youth civic participation was recognized as a key element of the seminar’s activities. Through the implementation of the project, the intended goals were achieved, strengthening participants’ competences and inspiring them to continue their engagement in civil society.
