Objectives

The "Youth Work in Digital Era" project was initiated in response to the growing need to support teachers and youth workers in adapting to the dynamically changing digital environment. Contemporary youth spend a significant amount of their time online, using various internet platforms and social media. The COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated this digitization, shifting many aspects of educational and social life into the virtual world. Our goal is to provide comprehensive training and tools necessary for effectively utilizing technology in working with youth. We aim to engage teachers and youth workers from different countries to exchange experiences and best practices in the use of technology in education and youth work. Within our training program, there will be numerous practical workshops to help participants understand the potential of technology in working with youth, learn to use various digital tools, and develop strategies for effective use of social media for communication and education. Additionally, the increased online activity of youth brings many potential risks. Youth workers, who play an extremely important role in youth education, need not only knowledge of how to protect youth from dangerous online activities but primarily skills to recognize these threats early on and effectively prevent them through youth education. Unfortunately, standard formal education still has significant gaps in this area. Therefore, during our training, we pay special attention to issues related to online safety. Participants will gain practical knowledge in areas such as safe use of social media, cybersecurity, combating cyberbullying, and familiarizing themselves with new technologies useful in working with youth and effective online communication. By implementing these activities, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their digital skills, increase their effectiveness in working with youth, and better adapt to the requirements of the modern digital world. By introducing elements related to online safety, we ensure that the use of new technologies is not only effective but also safe for all participants. Needs of youth workers: 1. Development of digital competencies: Given the increasing digitization of society, youth workers need support in developing skills to use modern digital tools and technologies in their work with youth. 2. Preventing online threats: Youth workers should be aware of potential risks associated with youth online activity and possess skills to recognize and prevent such threats, including cyberbullying and improper use of social media. 3. Enhancing competencies: Youth workers need opportunities for continuous development and expansion of their skills, both in working with youth and in utilizing modern technologies. 4. Exchange of best practices: Facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices among youth workers from the same or different countries is crucial for improving the quality of their work. 5. Building international partnerships: Youth workers need opportunities to build international partnerships that will enable collaboration with other organizations and professionals from different parts of the world. 6. Better cooperation: Cooperation and collaboration among various stakeholders involved in youth work are essential for effective action. Youth workers need support in building better cooperation at both national and international levels. Project objectives: 1. Providing comprehensive training: The project aims to provide participants with comprehensive training in utilizing technology in youth work and developing their digital competencies. 2. Exchange of experiences and best practices: The project will enable youth workers to exchange experiences and best practices in youth work and technology utilization. 3. Building international partnerships: By engaging youth workers from different countries, the project aims to build international partnerships and facilitate collaboration on an international scale. 4. Development of digital competencies: The project aims to assist youth workers in developing digital competencies and utilizing modern digital tools in their work with youth. 5. Supporting better cooperation: The project aims to provide support in building better cooperation both at the national and international levels.
