The aim of the project was to develop young people’s critical thinking skills, their ability to verify information, and their capacity to engage responsibly in the digital environment. The project also sought to identify the needs of young people, teachers, educators and parents in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia regarding digital resilience and digital risks. Another key objective was to develop practical educational materials for teachers and educators and to strengthen international cooperation between partner organisations.
The project addressed the need to strengthen critical thinking and digital resilience among young people aged 12–19. Today’s young people operate in an environment characterised by information overload, social media, algorithms and AI-based tools, which increases the risk of exposure to disinformation, fake news and biased messaging. The project was also developed in response to the needs of teachers and educators, who often lack sufficient tools to help young people develop the skills to analyse information, recognise manipulation and use technology responsibly.
