Objectives

The “Eco Echo” project was developed in response to the growing need to strengthen environmental awareness and sustainable behaviour among young people, particularly in countries where recycling systems and ecological education are still developing. Bringing together participants from Portugal, Romania, Republic of Moldova and Georgia, the project aimed to create a meaningful intercultural learning space focused on environmental responsibility and active citizenship. The main objective of Eco Echo was to facilitate the exchange of good practices in the ecological field and to help young people identify practical eco-friendly habits that they can adopt in their daily lives. The project also aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of global environmental challenges and encourage them to become multipliers of sustainable practices in their local communities. A specific objective was to develop concrete educational materials — including eco-brochures and short awareness videos — that could be used beyond the mobility. Another important goal was to enhance the project’s online presence through blog updates and digital dissemination, ensuring long-term accessibility of the results. The project also aimed to motivate participants to implement at least one environmental action in their home communities within the months following the mobility. In parallel, Eco Echo promoted the values of the Erasmus+ Programme and encouraged young people to explore further European learning opportunities.
