Based on a comprehensive needs analysis, our project has identified a significant gap in entrepreneurial knowledge and skills among young people, particularly in rural areas of Romania and partner countries. A questionnaire was administered to 147 young individuals, revealing that 61% of respondents in Odorheiu Secuiesc and local areas expressed a need for skill development in various aspects of starting a business, such as business planning, financial management, and risk-taking. Similar results were observed in partner countries, indicating a shared need for developing entrepreneurial skills. The needs of the target group include access to resources, educational materials, and programs that foster entrepreneurial growth. Networking opportunities, guidance, and support are also essential elements required for their development. The participants expressed an interest in opportunities for peer collaboration, enabling them to learn from each other's experiences. Moreover, there is a keen interest in sustainable and ethical business practices, reflecting a growing awareness of environmental and social responsibilities. Additionally, cross-cultural understanding is identified as crucial, signifying the importance of intercultural competences in the ever-evolving global business landscape. Based on the comprehensive need analysis and researches, our project's SMART objectives are as follows: To begin, we aim to provide workshops on essential topics such as market research, financial planning, and pitch development. By the end of the program, our measurable goal is to have at least 60% of participants develop and confidently pitch a viable business idea. To achieve this, the program will allocate adequate time and resources for participants to work on their business ideas, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and support. These workshops align directly with our overarching goal of equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to embark on their entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, we seek to facilitate activities that encourage creative thinking and calculated risk-taking among the participants. Our measurable objective is to witness at least 65% of participants reporting an increase in their willingness to embrace calculated risks and think creatively. To support this objective, the program will incorporate a diverse range of exercises and activities that foster a growth mindset, helping participants become more comfortable with uncertainty and innovative problem-solving. This objective aligns perfectly with our broader aim of empowering young people to thrive in the entrepreneurial world, and the activities will be diligently conducted within the scheduled timeline. Moreover, we aim to facilitate structured networking sessions, group projects, and cultural exchange activities to foster cross-cultural relationships and learning opportunities among participants. Our measurable target is to have at least 80% of participants report successful cross-cultural relationships and enriching intercultural experiences. The program will carefully design and organise these activities to provide participants with ample opportunities to interact and collaborate in a structured and meaningful setting. The objective strongly aligns with our overarching goal of facilitating networking and collaboration among participants from different countries, and these activities will be thoughtfully executed within the program's timeline. Furthermore, we are committed to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in local communities. To achieve this, our measurable goal is to see at least 5% of participants starting their own business within 1 year of completing the program. The program will equip participants with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to embark on their entrepreneurial endeavors successfully. This objective is fully in line with our project's vision of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation within the community, and we will measure its impact 1 year after the program's completion. Lastly, we aim to introduce young people to other cultures and foster intercultural dialogue. The measurable target is to have at least 70% of participants report an increase in their understanding and appreciation of other cultures by the end of the program. The program will provide numerous opportunities for participants to immerse themselves in diverse cultural experiences and engage in intercultural dialogue. Through the accomplishment of these SMART objectives, our project seeks to empower and inspire young entrepreneurs, creating a positive and lasting impact on both individuals and communities.
