Through “Youth Vibes Against Stereotypes”, we wanted to create an inclusive and meaningful learning experience that would help young people better understand stereotypes, reflect critically on their impact, and become more motivated and prepared to promote inclusion and European values in their communities. The project was based on the understanding that stereotypes are not harmless simplifications, but can lead to prejudice, exclusion, inequality, and discrimination. For this reason, we wanted to give young people not only information on the topic, but also space to reflect, exchange, question assumptions, and practise constructive responses. The project aimed to support young people in becoming more open-minded, empathetic, confident, and active. We wanted participants to better understand what stereotypes are, how they appear in everyday life, media, politics, and social relations, and how they affect both individuals and communities. At the same time, we wanted to link this reflection to the values promoted by the European Union, especially dignity, equality, democracy, human rights, and inclusion. Our main objectives were: • to help participants better understand stereotypes and their links to discrimination, prejudice, and inequality; • to equip them with skills such as critical thinking, communication, advocacy, teamwork, and the ability to organise awareness activities; • to empower them to promote inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and uphold EU values in their own communities.
